My fees vary depending on the project and the level of edit required, but I use the CIEP's suggested minimum rates as a starting point. My preferred method is to charge per hour or per day, but I can also charge per thousand words, or an agreed fixed fee. • Format (e.g. PDF, Microsoft Word, paper)

• Project start date

• Deadline

• The extent of the work required (e.g. proofreading or language editing), and any elements which do not need checking

• Any other requirements specific to the project
